Our New World
I feel that one of the few benefits to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the rapid advances in technology, and in particular life science. Over the Christmas break I read an informative life science book by Dr David
A. Sinclair PhD, which provides a wonderful insight into the medical breakthroughs that are happening right now.Dr Sinclair is a professor in the
Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, who have arguably the best group of biologists in the world, all working on what Dr Sinclair terms the ‘disease of aging’.
Prolonged Vitality
David grew up in Sydney’s Middle Harbour, and is a proponent of prolonged vitality, which means not just more years of life, but more active, healthy, and happy ones.
For most of us the thought of living to 100 is not at all appealing, as we have seen with our parents and grandparents what those final decades look like: ventilators, drug cocktails, broken hips, chemotherapy, surgery after surgery, and the never ending medical bills.
Medical success in extending life means that we are now dying more slowly and painfully, and it’s even worse for people in the developed world, where those who can afford advanced medical treatment often spend a decade or more suffering through illness after illness.
What Dr Sinclair is proving is that we can not just live longer, but live younger for decades longer, and make those final years not so terribly different to the years that came before them.
Based on the astounding results that are coming out of Harvard and other institutions all over the world, Dr Sinclair feels that prolonged vitality is not just a possibility, but will happen very soon.
Cancer break-through
We have all heard that ‘you can’t cure cancer’. Perhaps you can’t, but one Australian-based company is working with the US’s largest cancer treatment and research centre on an enhancement of cancer treatment. The current platinum-based chemotherapy treatments leave many cancer patients with drug resistance, and severe toxic side effects that have meant that treatment must be halted, leaving patients with no other options.
The new drug, that is injected by needle, combines a multitude of other compounds with platinum-based chemotherapy. The combined drug firstly detects any tumour, and then the toxicity of the tumour activates the drug. The drug enters the tumour and destroys from inside out, leaving healthy cells intact. The treatment is tracked by MRI, which enables a doctor’s clear detection of the tumour’s location.
Your Opportunity to Invest
The Australian-based life science company will at the end of next year list the Cancer treatment on the NASDAQ. My business will be privy to a large allocation of the Initial Public Offering, made through a convertible note. The note pays an attractive interest rate while the entity moves through the listing process, and provides an excellent discount to the listing price. If you too are interested in investing into ground-breaking life science, then please come in and meet with me to discuss the opportunities that we have available.
The boom is coming to life science, in fact, it is probably already here. I have never known a time like today where there are so many incredible investment opportunities. I trust you will join me in taking the opportunity to benefit.
